What are Human Factors?
The Health & Safety Executive define Human Factors as the " environmental, organisational and job factors, and human and individual characteristics, which influence behaviour at work in a way which can affect health and safety"
Failure to properly consider Human Factors has been attributed to a number of major incidents across a variety of industries including Oil & Gas, Aviation and Healthcare.
Ensuring Human Factors are considered at all elements of a task, from the equipment design, to the planning of the work and finally the execution of the job by the front line workers, is vital to ensure safety for all involved.
