Scott has quite an eclectic background: from working offshore for 5 years to being a Lecturer in Psychology. This varied mix of skills and experience allows Scott to contextualise psychological theory into real life applications with great results. Scott is one of the leading experts within the Non-Technical Skills (NTS) discipline. Scott is at his happiest when he is observing individuals/teams either offshore or other sites. He thrives on helping people to ensure they can become the best version of themselves.
This has never been more evident than when Scott developed and facilitated a unique programme of Toolbox Talk coaching across the Oil & Gas industry building on his own experience offshore, and the lessons he has learned both in the classroom and through the observation of hundreds of TBTs over the years. Scott’s unique ability to blend theory with context and humour make him one of the most sought after safety coaches.
As of March 2025 Scott was delighted to be awarded his Fellowship with the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors - a great recognition for all his hard work.
