Overview
These sessions will allow each individual within a team to have a better understanding of the 6 Non Technical Skills and how they work alongside their technical ability to improve performance.
Who is the session for?
Any teams working on the front line of safety critical industries.
Session Contents
These sessions will cover the following elements:
- Session 1 - The importance of Communication & Situation Awareness
- Session 2 - Stress Management & How to identify stress in yourself and others.
- Session 3 - How to approach & engage different types of people. Understanding group/team dynamics. The basic fundamentals of Leadership.
These sessions will be held over 3 days ranging from 1 - 1.5hrs.
Out with the sessions the team and individuals will be observed.
Learning Objectives
Following the sessions each team will have:
- An understanding of the importance of Communication & Situation Awareness
- An understanding of stress and how to identify it
- An awareness of team dynamics and the impact of Leadership
Materials
Each delegate will be given a specifically designed pocket sized course guide which can easily fit in to a coverall pocket. This covers key elements of the session and allows for refresh and reminders alongside individual feedback.
Observation and Feedback
Following the sessions the team activities will be observed.
One to one feedback will be provided to each individual team member. This can be recorded on the course handout for future reference. A more detailed report is provided post visit.
Each site is provided with an overall feedback report following the visit.
